Hello i am currently on my OPT which will expire in 5/6 months... and student visa will expire this month. 2 years back while i was a student, i applied for Asylum which got denied, i kept my status and kept on working on my OPT. Now i have applied for TPS and advance parole. Would there be any risk in travelling back to Nepal with advance parole? Is there anyone in the same boat who is planning to visit back home within this 18 months TPS period.

Any suggestion is helpful. Thanks in advance.

I thought satrianic was the expert on TPS. I don't think you should have any problem. Asylum got denied and that's it. If it was approved, then there would have been a problem going back.

@Satrianic: Since your Asylum was denied case is closed. If it was approved then there would be some complication while returning to US but that is not in your case. So it would be fine for you to go back to Nepal visit and come back in TPS AP. Hope this helps.

They made decision stating your home country is safe for you and denied your asylum. So with TPS you are able to travel to Nepal without any issue and come back. At least rejected aylum application will not prevent you from entering to US.

Best of luck Satrianic. TPS will last a while and should give enough cushion for further adjustment of status.
