Think about SFSU, its a nice accrediated school. Lots of career session program that makes you think about how to best prepare yourself for future market. And lots of tallented people to help.

I dont know if its expensive for you or not.. because I have seen many Nepalese interested but end up not studying there due to tution fee cost and expense of living in bay area.

Wherever you go

Good Luck

There are very less assistantship program, and I saw that they are usually given to domestic student as it is state school. There are some restriction where you can work and cannot work wihtin campus too.

I was kind of dissatisfied by this fact too. Because state has been contineously ctting the educational funds.. and there this school is popular among the students in bay area, I guess they have no probelm in selling themselves.

About GMAT  average score  is 550, but I have seen people wiht 530 getting admission. They told us in orientation session that they are planning to increase this score very soon. To be qualified you have to have 4 years bachelors and min GPA 3..or more.

Majority of the students are international, esp from China, Japan and India.I am enjoying here, but sometimes wish there would be Nepali frens to talk to  !

For more information you can check  sfsu's web site www.sfsu.edu.

I also had this impression that school at california prefers students from california.  they hesitate to provide funding for students from other state as well.  i might be wrong, but i was told this by other people also.  i dont think i would be interested in a school who has very limited assistantship opportunities.  are you the only nepali student there?

There are lots of Nepali in Bay area. I have lots of friends and relatives here.. so I have no problem.

Lots of party and all. I was talking about the school..I wish I had few Nepali frens from school too.

Anyways, I am just in my first sem, so though I am attending Career sessions, I am not into job hunting right now.. I guess I will start after finish of fall sem, 2008.
