papili, i heard lots of nepali students go to Ocean city, maryland and work there for summer to accumulate money for college. I heard they work in subways, fair, grocery stores etc. Anyone got any info?

I know some departments (in universities not in community college) have summer research program and they need assistants. Most students overlook this area. If you go to university, this can be an option. It doesn't pay much though, but can keep you survived. You might be able to earn credit too.

If you are a person who can get along with everyone well you can find some nepalese who can let you share an appartment out there in OC. About finding a job out there the best is to go there in first week of may so that you can help them (Shops and parks ) to paint and get them started and you can have your job for the whole summer since you are not in school at this point. So pack your bag by the end of this month and take a greyhound from Columbia Missouri and head to OC. It might take you a 3 or 4 days to get there. About connection..I will try to get back with you after I get hold of my friends..

What kinds of jobs are available if you do not want ot show your face in the counter. I hold F1 visa and work as a GA to a professor but it does not pay off well. Or like John, i want a toyota for myself. DO you have any suggestions! Also my school rules are pretty strict and will be out if get caught.

Does the restaurants hire for jobs in the kitchen? Do they pay well???

I think you will get the job as Lambu dai is saying, be there on or before the 2nd week of May and start searching for the jobs. With in a week period, you will find alot of nepalese there.... this year i dont know any of my freinds are going there or not.

Just walk from 0 street to 120 street and if you see "we are hiring or Help wanted" sign walk in and ask for an application. fill it up and hand it back to them. But you need to have to have contact information so that the employer will get back to you or you can walk in 3 days after u feel out ur application. About appt if you don;t have any contact as of yet it will be hard for you to get one when u get there. But I definately will get back with you when i get hold of my buddy..
