Using all the digits 1 to 9, each once only, make two numbers, one of which is exactly twice the other.

OK PRAKASH JI... U NEED TO READ THE QUESTION ONCE AGAIN.... U R COMPLETELY WRONG.. .CAS IT HAS TO BE AN INTEGER... NO RATIONAL OR DECIMAL NO.S ACCEPTED... OK MY ANSWER FOR U IS 12 AND 24....
CAS 24 IS DOUBLE OF 12 AND...
AND 2 IS DOUBLE OF 1 IN 12
WHERE AS 4 IS DOUBLE OF 2 IN 24

Spiderman, I think the decimal by Prakash_Ji is a typo. It is 9327 and 18654. And what he did was he took/use all the integers as they are. What I did was I use all the integers as two different sum (4+5+6) and (1+2+3+7+8+9)

BTW Spiderman, I like your solution too. You looked at the question in a whole new persepective. But you missed the vital part of the question which is "Using all the digits 1 to 9". You used only three integers.

That decimal (.) was to avoid sajha's making first letter graphical.

If the decimal was part of solution, then second number wouldn't be double the first number.

It asks to use all 9 digits, and each of them only once.

So, I think I am not wrong.

Garrrate! woohoo @ debonair.

But, the challenge is "Using all the digits 1 to 9, each once only, make two numbers". So, the question is ... what does OcRam mean by "each once only, make two numbers"? It is such a dubious phrase.

Spiderman, debonair is right as long as we consider "each once only, make two numbers"phrase as we may create replica of 1-9 to create two different numbers. But apparently, I do not think that is what OcRam means.

considering how ocram has stated the question (unless otherwise stated) i think praksah je answer is the most correct one. or else ocram needs to mention the number of digits in each number and its not clear whether each digits should be used only once in both number or only one of the two numbers. btw MM don't you think youre making it more complicated LOL
