A four digit number (not beginning with 0) can be represented by ABCD.
There is one number such that ABCD=A^B*C^D. What is it?

1^1 =1 so 1^1*1^1 =1 not 1111. Please use common sense and read question properly.

Are A,B,C,D different digits? I mean can they repeat?
It's very tough question, I think some programming is needed.

LOL OcRam, I had deleted my answer before you commented on it. So I think you could have used "common sense and read the answer properly" before responding to it.
Like Parbatya said it is hard to answer with just one clue.

Should not be that hard for Parbatya, esp when I solved it in 3 mins. Well, numbers can repeat.

Note: ABCD is not equal to A*B*C*D. It is a 4 digit number equal to A*1000+B*100+C*10+D.

I could not get it by using mind calculator, however I used EXCEL to get the result. There might be some good logic behind the result but my logic was too long. I got the answer. But I am not posting here to allow other readers to give some logics. Only one clue I can say that the repeating number is 2.

Programming 101 for A=1:9 for B=1:9 for C=1:9 for D=1:9 x=A*1000+B*100+C*10+D; y=A^B*C^D; if x==y disp(x) end end end end end 2592

Loots, you far ahead of us. What do you eat on your daily meal? I know you are not disclosing at any cost. Just start one thread "how to remeber everything?" Only 1% solution is a good medicine (more than 1% can be toxic though) for us.
OcRam, Have fun in the graduation ceremony and Party. Convey my 'congrats' to new graduates.

.Thank you Looteji for the key (2592). Solving mathematically, 2592 = (2^5) * (9^2) (Is there an alternate way, excluding Programming 101 and Excel?)

hahaha...parbatya- what do i eat? well, everything and anything that's edible (you know what i mean? hahaha) ocram- congratz on the graduation? when's the party in sajha? :D flips- Lootji? where's that 'ji'' coming from? hahaha...and you're out of your shelf ? peeking at it from behind the curtain doesn't help consistently now does it? hahaha .. if it takes 'mathematics' to get poeple out of their closets then i say, OCram, more threads please ! hahaha i think solving (not verifying) this mathematical equation will be 10 fold difficult than solving it using programs. however, if you are interested, go ahead give it a shot. (logarithm is the hint :P)
