Did you apply for I140 only or did you do I485 concurrently?

Well right now for Nepal the current date is Sep 02 for eb3. what is your PD. You can only apply for I485 once your PD is current .. Look at the visa Bulletin .

if you have EB2 its current , that means there is no wait time... but for EB3 you need to wait until the PD is current .

hope this helps

Good Luck

after I-140, it doesn't take that long. you have to apply I-485. mine took 2 and half months to  get the card on hand after I started my I-485. But sometimes they call you for interview, in that case it may take 7 months the most.  chill dude.

RadioHead, Did you do it recently? That is good news, because I heard I485 might take years for approval and Plastic itself will be more longer.

So You got plastic (GC) in 2 and half months after applying for I485? Was it EB2 or EB3? Thanks

that is a great news. but my problem is when will I be able to apply 1-485 ? I heard I-485 is not current and I may have to wait years to appy I-485 even though I have approved 1-140.

For Nepali, I do not think you have to wait for to apply I485. If you are desi, yes!!! several years!

yes I received it only in 2 and a half month after the day of filing I-485. It doesn't take long for nepali citizen. labor approval is the most painful wait these days.

Happy 2009, EB2 here.

I guess then for EB3 you have to wait as posted by Baire, but that is not too bad considering Sept 2 is current for EB3.
