Thapp jee, are you Bagale thapa or Parajuli thapa or pwar Thapa? Thapa actually is not a family name like Koirala or Bhattarai in which intermarriage is probhited according to Hindu rule. Rather it is like group name like Sharma.During Rana regime, all brahmin whoever used to go to military or whoever got married to a kshetriya were labelled Thapa. Bagale Thapa were very active in politics before Rana regime. After the fall of Thapa, then came Rana. A pure bagale thapa is no different than Brahmin in looks. But what I am surprised about is that some thapa look mongoloid like Magar.

I know Thapa's and Paande's were previous army heads of Nepal, until Rana's took over.

But what took Thapa's so long to come back to power? I think Pyarjung is first Thapa as army chief after long long time right?

But Thapa's were know for more loyal to Nepal than Nepali Royal Families, but this Thapa seems to be loyal to Gyane than to Nepal.
