i recently got the approved of I-140. now what is the next process for GC ? how long does it take after I -140 to get GC in your hand ? Anyone has similar experiance ? thanks in advance for reply.

Nursing goes into a different Quota !!! You should be able to apply I 485.. atleast get a travelling document and EAD !!! Check with your lawyer !! (change your lawyer if he said you cannot file I-485) Peace ...

Thanks Baire, my lawyer said there is no special quota for nurses anymore and I would have to wait to file I-485 according to my priority date which might take years. I am totally confused and worried now. don't know what to do. At this point, I would not care wheather I get GC or not right away. I only want travelling documents and EAD. Sounds like it is not possible either. I may have to go back to school now to maintain my status.

what visa status are you in ?? If you I 140 approved you should have a valid visa right.. Looks like your lawyer messed up !!! Seek another opinion with another lawyer
