I am a proud Xavierian and I learned a heck lot from my school. Learning is not just limited to books....

I think this thread is nonsense. Everybody loves his/her school where he/she spent much of his/her golden years, even if it's a government school.

May be it was one of the best, 40 years back, when there were not many schools around in Nepal.

But not anymore. This is 2007. Not 1969 AD.

I did not go to St.Xavier's School but I had a year I.Sc at St.Xavier's College
( maitighar/thapathali). I can say that SXC Rocks, the Best College in Nepal. Its not always what you learn in the books is important, they make a Man out of a Boy.

Hahahahaha... well, it's true... maybe mostly in Xaverians' minds anyway.

But all kidding aside, it was, is, and mostly likely, will continue to be one of the best, if not the best, school in Nepal. This does not mean other schools are not good. I am sure there are excellent schools nowadays, but STX is and always has been the gold standard that parents and school administrators go by.

Anyway... who gives a flying fu(k.......................................... unless you are a parent of a six year old.

Xavier might be the best school, but at a national level, the graduates from Xavier have very less contribution to the bettrerment of Nepal.
Xavierians are mostly exports of Nepal. Brain drain.

I appreciate the style of teaching now more than when i was there..they truely wanted to make us "allrounders," I still have fun memories of HMI..fu88kin hated detention so much man.....it is still "the" best school of nepal..all those naysayers, go and see the admission line for grade one..thousands apply for about 100 or so sats every year..
