I usually visit the Everest restaurant at Irving whenever I am in Dallas. I do not have complain over the food items or the time that I have to wait over there. I usually go with my friends to give a try and enjoy in Nepali environment.
I would like to urge all the people who are going there to ask for a receipt in your total check. Please make sure you are paying for the right amount for the items you have ordered.
It has happened to me so many times that I have been told the price by using the calculator. But I was still alright for the whole past. In my last visit I became suspicious with the total bill, so I asked her for the receipt. I do not want to bring the whole story what had happened to the woman who was working there. But I just want to notify you all to just recheck the amount you are paying for. Not necessarily receipt is needed for us, but make sure price is charged in a right way to you. That's it.

Foods are okay there...sometimes way too salty esp goat meat. When I told them about food is being very salty to eat and they will offer you lemon. Very congested and more like a bhatti pasal. Nasty floor and bathroom. bathroom is right behind your table.

@chelsea82 i had similar experiences too. And when i call in and order too it is 30 min late. Customer service is really poor, i herad himalayan changed their name and now serves better food. I didn't had a chance but i am not going back to everest at all.

Technically pretty much all Nepali restaurants are crappy. I haven't been to those in newyork, I heard they are good, but I can't speak of them. But in any states I am been to in last 10-12 yrs non of those standout to say I want to go to that place again . The ones in dfw Tx are worst . Some one wrote earlier that Citi gave grade C for Everest . Nothing appealing in terms of food, either. I wish there are some good Nepali Resturant out there not no luck.

I have avoided taking my co-worked to take to Nepali Resturant, because I my self don't feel good abt those , and they smell so bad, doesn't feel hygienic at all. But I myself get dragged into it for the sake of momo's on and off.

OP is right. They dont give you the itemized receipt. We (3 people) were there yesterday, our total bill came out to be 15% extra. Upon asking they told us they automatically add 15% gratitude. I gave them another 18% gratitude. So that total of 33% in gratitude. I am like wtf. I will be doing a chargeback if they want to play rough. Be careful!!

The amount charged in my statement was more than the net total receipt I signed. This happened to me twice. Have not been there for a long time now. If someone files a fraud cc transaction , that is federal. Those guys working there should be careful and stop messing around with signed receipt at least. Check your statement sometimes, and get surprised .

https://ecs.ci.irving.tx.us/inspectionscores/

The latest inspection shows Everest has "C" grade and Himalayan Aroma "D".

I have never paid attention to the bill but from now on I will be keeping an eye on that.

Honestly, food tastes good but their customer service is horrible. No personal offense but these Nepali business owners run their business the "Nepali" was in "chali halchha ni" fashion. The waitresses NEVER smile or even talk to you. The think they are too good for that I guess. Waitresses do not check with you to see if you need water or if the food is okay. They simply bring the food and take your plates away at the end and expect tip. The waitresses do not have any sense of customer service or how to treat guests.

Food order takes 30 minutes. They tell you 20 minutes but it is never ready in 20 minutes. Its a shame that you cant take your american peers, friends, co-workers here or to any Nepali restaurant because of the service and the ambiance.

And why the hell are they so greedy and stingy with their momo achar when you order to-go????????????????

Still not providing itemized receipts and charging 15-18% service charge when 3 or more people on one table. I have stopped going to everest since then. Ramailo is better when it comes to service and check.

This place being closer to home, i try out every now & then, but never failed to amaze me..after being in business for long time, one would think they take care of the issues,,but we r mistaken,,typical nepali customer service eat it or leave it or don't come back, filthy restroom as always, sneak peak the kitchen on the way to restroom,,,one wouldn't wanna eat here again..the time from you order n go pick up,,never ready even after 20-25 mins and they insist to pay while u wait,,to go order is never done right,..pls improve ur customer service n quality of ur food n pay attention to hygiene n cleanliness...(being all said n done, they ll need to do whole lot a work but m amazed they r still in business...idk for how long)

They dont give itemized receipt. Additionally, different servers charge different price for the same item. Pretty much run like gas station where customers are charged based on how they look....charge more to mexicans, less to whites!

i will now always check for the tips that they automatically charge.....

couldnt agree more than the servers think that they are doing us a favor....damn slow service!

why cant we have a decent place to eat with decent service??? such a pity that we cant take our american friends there...

We ordered catering for 20 people, while paying the money in the counter , only cash was preferred, been told if credit card is used there will be extra 5 percent or tax will be added( something like that ). To avoid this process we paid 12 x 20 = 240 in hand . We asked for receipt , we were told " register ma hanyo bhane pheri tax tirnu parcha" wtf , that girl wrote in a small piece of paper with signature ( what the hell ). A year ago same thing happened , we went back to upload catering food and she told "paisa yehi diye huncha" . I don't know who is the owner of Everest , but he or she better check on it , this is being really fckin serious .
I don't prefer this kinda shitty business thing, I ain't fckin going again.

probably the owner knows already what is going on and i am sure that is his idea to circumvent taxes on the income. no wonder the owner has couple of luxury cars and a jeep wrangler.
