Dear Rajeev,

Have a passion in your grand design to be the next President of GAA. Have a lust to be a great Ninja Haku Night Combatative COMPETITOR to win your good and able opponent.

I shall bless you six MAHA SAKTIS of managing six leadership styles. Your theme should be based on BING-FA or the Chinese art of war games. I shall term them your JUDO STRATEGY to beat the shit out of your able opponent and he is a great novice in learning Chinese language and cultural. He may even have visited the GREAT WALL and GREAT SHAOLIN MONASTRY.

In my judo strategy towin him "When pushed you pull him and when pulled you push him." let the gravity of mother earth work against your noble opponent. If you use the same principle you will always land softly in case he tries to use maha sumo push to pull or pull to push antics. Good luck and have a ever soft landing as your muma earth will always protect you from maha harm and you have perfromed well.

I will again pray for you to have the great Barada and Mokshada mahasaktis that liberated the water logged Katmandu valley and was given by the GREAT CHINESE visitor Monk from the Little Goose Pagoda.

Use these six leadership styles on need basis. In other words, be flexible and you willbe meritorious in your VICTORY. Use the themes for protecting the environment too as it is close to mother earth.

The leader's modus operandi being coercive allows him to demad immediate compliance. the style in a phrase is "Do what i tell you." The underlying emotional intelligence competencies are to drive to achieve, intiative and self-contro. This style works best in a crisis, to kick start a turnaround, or with problem employees. Overall impact on climate is NEGATIVE.

The leader's modus operandi being authoritative allows to mobilize people oward a vision. The style in a phrase is "Come with me." The underlying emotional competencies are self-confidence, empathy, change catalyst. this style works best when changes require a new vision, or when a clear directionis needed. The overall impact on climate is mostly and strongly positive.

The affiliative leadership creates harmony and builds emotional bonds. "People come first." Empathy, building relationships and communications. To heal rifts in a team or to motivate people during stressful circumstances. Positive.

Democratic leaders are forging consensus through participation. "What do you think." Collaboration, team leadership and communication. To build buy-in or consensus, or to get input from valuable employees. Positive.

The Pacesettingleaders set high standards for performance. "Do as I do, now." They have conscientiousness, drive to achieve, and have initiatives too. this style is to get quick resultsfrom a highly motivated and competent team. The effect is negative.

the coaching leaders develop people for the fuure. "Try this." They develop others and have empathy and self-awareness. This allows to help an employee improve performance or develop long-term strengths. The implication of this style is positive.

Good luck Rajeev.

Nepal Tara ji,

thanks much for kind words on my ancestory.

Unlike you, I did not goto STX. But then, my entire family graduated from STX. Most of them go back to Godavari days. MY late father was a proud Xavarien from late '60s who stood first of the first in his SLC board. His brother stood third of the first class 7 years later from the same school. My last visit back home made be revisit all those framed pics from old Xavier days. I in all humility would like to donate those preicious stuff to Rajeev Pradahn jyu, if his GAA hall some space on the wall to hang it.

Honey/Sony Di are taken. *smile* you know the saying that when you go to parking lots, the best spots are already taken. H ahaha.

Yeah Darshan Dai has done us all proud. He is a senior manager on marketing side of Gate's stuff.

We could talk endless on innovation. Truly, freedom and individuality has given human mankind a lots. You and I saw that in our days. Will grab the suggested piece of book in my spare time.

Are you into GARY HAMEL?

ani kai ko Rolls Royce, hunu ni? ha hha... just a simple Hero chaap cycle I am. hahha .

Are you talking about Sher Bahadhur Malla and his son Shanta Kumar Malla, the Hajuria jarnels of Mahendra and Birendra? What is so great about being born in that family?

Rajiv Bhai,

I have not had chance to see the book that you have mentioned while I am still reading Harry Potter book ha ha ha ha....

Sony and Honey know what I am talking about in terms of the dark secrets and favorite boys of the late founder of stx. Sounds like stx up your jumper in deviant way. What area of management are you involved in? About your cuz being inside Gate's blue circle is just incredible and honor for Nepal and thats what I mean R_R achievement.

The other garibjanata wants to know my relationship with Shata Kumar Malla. Look I am not maternally related to this Magar Malla. By con job he married sister of Lok Bhakta Rana named Tani and who topped her SLC. If you may want to know then I am actually related to my Mama from Hotel Malla fame and his sister is married to my uncle Himalaya Rana of Himalaya Bank.

I stand alsone for what I do and I like what Rajiv had to say to the Strangest Doc with no love.

It is kind of late and I have to go to bed.

TATA and wish me luck as you wave me goodbye....

You mean srijana Rana ne malla, mamta thapa ne malla's family?

"If you may want to know then I am actually related to my Mama from Hotel Malla fame and his sister is married to my uncle Himalaya Rana of Himalaya Bank. "

What a confusing statement. You are hotel malla's malik's nephew whose sis is married to your uncle Himalaya S. Am I correct? So his other sis is your mom? CONFUSION...

Anyway who cares about these relations of yours.
Nobody gives a hoot to these people anymore, SIRE.
And, who is this Himalaya Shumsher?- sambdhi of Surya Bahadur Thapa? Pakistani agent? I know he was in Pakistan for a couple of years working for the UN, but I didn't realize that much of earning would be enough to open a bank. Anyway we all know where the money came from.

Lastly, Indira Aunt is the sweetest lady I've met. She and her hubby look a great couple even after almost 4 decades of married life. So why talk nonsense about their private life. If Shanta K is a magar does it make him a lower person than if he were a so-called thakuri malla?

Garibjanta,
lots of stuff that you posted are more "Arabic" in language to me. So I don't understand your setntiments locally.

Tara, I see that we are talking about some top-stuff in Nepal, or atleast so it exists.

My true understanding upon reading some "Legitmacy" from Nepal Tara ji , is that, he aint' got nothing to do with what you are talking here.

Nonetheless, talking about Himalayan bank, I understand that there is guy called Sanjaya Shrestha, with whom I have played some cricket, and who is a Harvard grad, currently pursuing Wharton studies, happens to be at that bank at his leisure. My question would be how is all this corelated?

Cheers!

Garibjanata or whatever,

Why ask questions? Why get connected? Why rejections? And so many whys?

I cannot answer peoples' and relatives' material and spiritual possessions. If you have questions about that ask them. You have problems with me ask with me and get a answer that you may like it or do not like it. Got the message and the picture.

Stop defaming people and I can tell you the diffrence between Thakuri and Magar and Newar Mallas.

My statement was meant to be riddle and if you did not understand then thet is your problem.

Chia.

In summary the Mongols of the Greater Khannates came to India and made it an exotic and erotic place in cultural significance. Otherwise, the gangetic plain culture was rather boring under the Brahminical spiritual terrorism. Islam invasion occred in India and Sincha and Duncha Khan from Rajastan had to run away and come to India and form there on the title of MALLAS have beenclaimed by Thakuri, Tharus, Newars, Yadhavs, Kausiks, Magars and even Kashais. Not that much matters to me. To be MALLA means WRESTERS. NO! Are thay SUMO WRESTLERS, who may be in the pecking order of wins?
What do you think?

Sincha and Duncha Khan - these names appear muslim to me, so why on earth would these muslims try to escape marauding tribes of their own kind??????????????

According to Nepaltara555, Sincha and Duncha Khan ran away from Rajasthan and entered India. Now where is this Rajasthan today- inside India. In those times of Muslim invasion (9-10th centuryAD) too Rajasthan was a part of India. So what nonsense is this guy writing.

MY SLEUTH WORK:
who were Sincha and Duncha Khan? They were Nepaltara555's great-great(100 times) grandfathers. They were Genghis Khan's issues. Recently DNA testing was done on Nepaltara..'s public hair and it was proved that he has Genghis khan's genes in his blood.

You both never learned Nepal's history by Baburam Acarya and was compulsory in STX. Thus it makes you both "DUKU LANTHAN" collective idiots.

I love individualism.

It is a philosophy opposite to you and specially Badmash aka Oohiji TEAR DROPs. In a political sense, individualism refers to a philosophy than an individual have freedom in his or her economic and political pursuits. In contrast to collectivism, individualism stresses that the interests of the individual should take precedence over the interests of the state (These names Badmash, Dr. Bee and other lapoonists are Ashutosh Tiwari and his Duku Lanthan posse of pro-Jesuit STX students). Like collectivism, however, individualism can be traced to an ancient Greek Philosopher, in this case Plato's disciple Aristotle (384-322 B.C.). In contrast to Plato, Aristotle argued that individual diversity and privateowenership are desireable. In a passage that might have been taken from a speech by contemporary politicians who adhere to a free market ideology, he argued that private property is more highly productive than communal property and will stimlate progress. According to Aristotle, communal property recieves little care, whereas property that is owned by an individual will receive the greatest care and therefore be most productive.

After sinking into oblivion for the best part of two millennia, individualism was born as an influential political philosophy in the Protestant trading nations of ngland and the Netherlands during the 16th century. The philosophy was refined in the work of a number of British philosophers including David Hume (1711-1776 A.D.), Adam Smith (1723-1790 A.D.), and John Stuart Mill (1806-1873 A.D.). The philosophy of individualism exercised a profound influence on those in the American colonies who sought independence from Great Britain. Individualism underlies the ieas expressed in the Declaration of Independence. In more recent years, the philosophy has been championed by several Nobel prize-winning economists, including Milton Friedman, Friedrich von hayek, and James Buchanan.

Individualism is built on two central tenets. The first is an emphasis on the importance of guaranteeing individual freedom and self-epression. As John Stuart Mill put it,

The sole end for which mankind are warranted, individually or collectively, in interferring with the liberty of action of any of their number is self-protection...The only purpose for which power can be rightfully exercised over any member of a civilized community, against his will, is to prevent harm to oters. His own good, either physical or moral, is not a sufficient warrant...The only part of the conduct of any one, for which he is amenable to society, is that which concerns other. In the part which concerns himself, his independence is, of right, absolute. Over himself, over his own body and mind, the individual is sovereign.

(To be continued).

NepalTara, No need to gloat a whole lot about your mama Saradindu Malla of Hotel Malla Fame, the money comes from his wife, Maharajkumari Rama Malla, daughter of Padma Shumshere. Mamaji's just the general manager, while she's the real McCoy. If you know what I mean.

Rauniyar, your chutzpah is bordering on braggadocio. It would have been suffice to say that your dad, too, attended St. Xavier's without bringing out the SLC topping accolade. Are we to draw some corollary inferenece about your intelletual prowess by it?

Spelling correction: Read Chir Kazi Baburam Acharya the greatest historian of modern Nepal.

Continuation of my tretise on my individualism.

The second tenet of individualism is that the welfare of society is best served by letting people pursue their own economic self-interest, as opposed to some collective body (such as Nepalese government) dictating what is in society's best interest. Or as Adam Smith put it in a famous passage from The Wealth of Nations, an individual who intends his own gain is

led by an invisible hand to promote an end which was no part of his intention. Nor is it always worse for the society more effectually than when he really intends to promote it. I have never known much good done by those who effect to trade for the public good.

The central message of individualism, therefore, is that individual economic and political freedoms are the ground rules on which asociety should be based. This puts individualism in conflict with collectivism. Collectivism asserts the primacy over the individual, while individualism asserts just the opposite. This underlying ideological conflict has been promoted by the JESUITS in Nepal termed the LIBERATION THEOLOGY and supported by the Society of Jesus in Rome. Catholic Church was the first multinational to exploit the people of the world under the Black Pope.

Next I will address democracy and totalitarianism.

Duku Lanthan Love of the Strange Dr Jekyl and Mr. Hyde,

Mama Sardindu's Papa Shree Babu Sahib Khadga Bahadur Malla was the biggest Jamindar in Bardia. His base was well established at Maglagadi. The family was very wealthy so that Runche Shree Teen Maharaja Padma Shamsher Jung Bahadur Rana found my MAMA damn kool and kind and educated and rich and dashingly handsome and gave in marriage his youngest and precious love child (one of the most dynamic and beautiful lady) to my MAMA and not you....

Any problems with that.

By the way my four Mamas married daughters of General Ravi Shamsher, Chuda Raj Shamsher and General Arun Shamsher (Brother of Queenie mum Ratna).

My Grand Pa had three daughters. I am from the eldest daugher. My mum's other two sisters married Himalaya S.J. B. Rana and Retired Inspector Genral of Police, Hem Bahadur Singh. My late father's name was General Pashupati Shamsher Jung Bahdur Rana. Any problems.

My cousins are also married to grandson of the owner of Annapurna Hotel, Pramod Rana and much more.

Thus I am well connected but I am not interseted in them. Iam an individual and responsible to all my actions. I am Alpha and Omega to my own destiny....

yet again, the same syndrome I see in you. Just wondering as to why other Sajhaites did not write the same, but YOU and ONLY YOU.

Nepal Tara dai,

wow, looks like reading one of those "Nepal Parichaya" stuff. All about power marriages. It happens everywhere. Tara, even to this date, it happens way too frequently in our "Desh." A plight indeed. Ani not to your taste given the love of freedom and individuality you have expressed. And same here too.

By the way I am sorry to hear about the fiasco on Jaya ji ko thulo chori. I guess it all happens for a reason. Hai na ta? I had pleasure of meeting Jaya ji on several occasions. I did never see em play, tara they used to say that he was a good wicket-keeper aa rai. I also recall them guys bringing out the best of the "English Willow" just to show off. Also, Amar ji was the jetha and then there was this kancho one too, am I right? There was this another kid, who used to sport a pony tail and used to call Amar ji , a MAMA. During those years (1993-1994), he used to play some cricket with us. Then he left for Amrika aa rai, we heard. Throw some light on this please.

Going back to Sri ji. He was a great sport on the field. Awesome cricketer I recall. But then was fixated with being a Hero(Rana Syndrome). I guess he was one too with his outswingers and great batting skills. Aa, but then, he was the biggest of the womanizer I have ever seen in my life. Daru ko ta kai kura garai bhayou, kasoo? Still we are great friends, and I saw em @ Tudhikhel when I was last there. I look forward to some meaningful/fruitful cricketing endevors with em in the days to come.

Any plans of making a trip to Continental States? You could write something along the lines of Tocqeville!!!

Ladies and Gentelmen,

This thread can be a good example how a simple "Shuvakamana and advise " can tern into a "clan fight"

If some ppl are proud of their ancestory let them be, why should other bother? It is not good to be offensive about somones ancestor.
lots of ppl asked about my ancestor before, i would like to take this opportunity to tell about my ancestor now.
I trust in science. I beleive all ppl originate from my ancesstor, no, dont get surprised please, at least not before reading all posting.
My scientifically proved ancestor is Monkey The Great (Darwinism) and if someone want to go beyond that, it finally ends in "The Great Great Amoeba" (unicellular living thing from which, scientist say, all organism evolved).

There is an interesting event (may be not event) after first few days in my present job, I went to dinner with a colleague from India. He was about 12 yrs senior to me in age. According to him, before joining this job he worked as a manager in one of the big indian industry. He was living in Bombay and has 2 cars (one from company and one his personal).
I replied him telling my experience etc etc.(It was like a dinner to know each other, In multi cultural environment it is very important to know each others background).

Then he asked a question that surprised me, at least I was not expectiong that type of question from him. The question was "Are you related to the Royal Family of Nepal" I said no and ask him why he came to think like that. He said "unless you are not related to a big family how can you have such a good education and such a good job"
Then I told him, look at family name (I dont beleive in cast, but my family name almost explains my cast) and ask him a question is it possible, in normal condition, ppl from my cast be related to royal family? he said no. discussion ended there.

I am very much surprised how easily ppl forget / and ask such a stupid question (without analysisng first using their experience/education) .This type of situation somtimes force me to think may be, matureness does not comes with the age.

cheers
enjoy the life
