Nepal is a labor intensive country so any business idea that is labor based?

Politics. Profit guarenteed and unlimited and self stained employment for young unemployed and unskilled goons.

Great thinking! I'm proud of ppl like you who actually want to do business that solves the growing need of employement. Even raising Khasi is not a bad idea at all.

 

Nepal has huge potential to be one of the richest countries in Asia...........but sadly the politicians of Nepal are completely sold out to india and India will never let nepal become stable and rich. They will stirr up some sort of political scenario and create instability in Nepal. Our beloved country can produce so much electricity that we all can be rich. Touirism can flourish if fighting ended. I am sure if Nepal is mentioned in the forbes fortune magazine as the fastest growing economy in Asia, Investors from all over the world will turn nepal in to a pot of gold. Recently Cambodia was published as the second fastest growing economy in Asia after china and now Cambodia is actually growing in leaps and bounds even after their sad and tragic event that shattered the country to almost nothing(khymer Rouge). If cambodia can do it Why cant we??? If only the politicians could see the potential of Nepal, sadly they are too busy in their legpulling and brown nosing India. God bless Nepal and all Nepalese.

How about commercial farming in Nepal...Everyone of us from US or UK or other countries support a big chunk of land for farming so that we can supplies these food to the food deficit district...How about making  a fish pond in food deficit district....How about helping poor people with micro-finance (low interest rate) to purchase land for food production...There are many...But it needs to be organized...

I support Nepali hero vision but i have slightly different idea on land distribution and farming techniques.

lets give choice to farmer to choose one sorts of farming  which they prefer to choose such as food grain production, vegetable production, fruit production, goat/ pork Meat production, poultry production, dairy and milk Production, Flower production etc and train them to specialize in one sector so they have depth knowledge on what they are doing rather than expecting them to do everything.

One example In one town there are 30 farmer doing same thing. Now with new methodology few farmer will be doing same farming as other  but other farmer will be doing other sorts of farming. Fruits farmer or flower farmer will need less land so he can give on lease to grain production farmer or vegetable production farmer. There are agriculture development office almost all VDC, which is not so useful yet to many Villages. Lets make it more productative to all farmer by sending all these expertise staff to related farm to inspection.

we have agriculture campus in Chitwan. Educational board has to come up with  industrial placement scheme to all undergraduate and postgraduate student so they can work one year on agriculture development office to develop their theory knowledge and skill. It will directly help to student as well farmer.

There are banks, but how many of these banks have branch in villages. So government has to come up with idea to relocate or merge these banks to reach to public who lives out side of city.  One farmer can't travel 15 miles everyday to diposit his income, so there have to have some mechanism to reach every VDC.

Now government has to offer low interest rate loan to farmer through agriculture bank. If we able to do this we will need another 7 years to stop importing food from other countries.

sajhabusaima yah it would be a good idea to have one farmer produce one product but it would not be suitable in a sense that the farmer has a monopoly over its product so the price would be determined by the farmer and not by the market....So I guess it would be better with few farmer working in the same crop so that no one has monopoly over the product or the market and they could compete among themselves....but you are also right that maybe we don't need 30 farmers doing the same thing rather have 10 farmer out of the 30 to work together to produce the required amount and create their own market....

Here is another idea how about selling salt from Narsingh Khola from Mustang district...Nepal still relies on salt from India although we have the capacity do provide the salt ourselves as well....

Glad to see so many business ideas but is there anybody who has the courage to implement their ideas? Really guys, this is the right time.

I also want to go to Nepal. I want to invest both my money and time in Nepal. I am ready to move..just need some visonare group of people.  If we come up with a righ idea then we can easily find lots of investors in Nepal.

It may sound funny but if we try, we can be Dr. Yunus or Ambanis of Nepal. We can provide employment to hard working Nepalese people and in doing so we can prevent those Neplese people from suffering in Dubai, Quatar and other countries.
