Hello. I lived for 3 year and 4 month in the same apartment and recently I moved out.But my landlord doesn't want to give my deposit $800 because he want everything new as it was first time.But I told him it was more then 3 years you can't except as it was.But he did not convince with me.Yes there is some crack in between basin of the kitchen and wall.its may be due to age. I don't know how can I get money form him.Is there some legal action so that I might possible to get my money back.That was alot money for me now in this my situation.Please help me suggesting what should I do? Thanks in advance.

Bro, file a case against him. This happened to me as well, 3 years ago. We filed a case against our landlord, and he had to pay us twice the deposit as well as our lawyers fee. Go and talk to a lawyer.

I have come across this recently, take pics of all the damages and then go to a lawyer. In which state r u now. They can not charge you for carpet cleaning and wall painting. rest what. They must send you bill in about 21 days according to CA state. and If you do not get that then landlord will be in problem. Go to the small court and court most of the time are on tenent side. Best of luck.

If u haven't caused any damage to the apartment based with in the agreement u signed 3 yrs ago,u are supposed to get your money back.if thats the case,it wud be better to approach to a lawyer................but donn forget to go through ur agreement paper one more time!! good luck!!
