A dark dream

Awful life crawling without any reason,
touch without sense, time without season.
Sleeping awake and choking on the grim,
listening loudly to those silent scream.

Life frowns at me, passess a cancerous sore,
a squalid parasite feeding on my inner core.
I am on my knees, pretending alive but dead,
glaring at the invisible blood I've just bled.

Eyes are red and cold hands are fisted,
deep inside, I am warped, I am twisted.
So many tricks and then so many lies,
Too many whens, whats and too many whys.

I am crushed to pieces from those ruthless hand,
mystery of infliction, I just can't understand.
I sense deep inside that somehow, I am dying,
palpates my soul and all that's underlying.

Soundless and sightless, unseen and unheard,
boundless and mindless, obscure and absurd.
All empathy lying ungraced, unbraced, unemployed,
I am perishing, in dark dream, obliterating the void.

When someone tries to define the reality life, these words from Emerson comes to my mind - "Life is a train of moods like a string of beads; and as we pass through them they prove to be many colored lenses, which paint the world their own hue, and each shows us only what lies in its own focus." Regarding your doubt, I am not a pessimist by any means. Gloominess and felicity are two sides of the coin called life. It was just an attempt to explore a bit of dark side of the life this time; I have depicted bright side of the life in earlier attempts. As Carl Jung says : "There are as many nights as days, and the one is just as long as the other in the year's course. Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word 'happy' would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness."

Yakku bro, long time no see. How are things rolling at your side? The era of bad dreams is already over; it was just an attempt to uncover some somberness that life may have to encounter once in a blue moon.

I think everyone goes thru these phases in any relationships. Some see it, some do not. some understand it, some do not. But putting it in words you have done a great job. I, very much like your poem. Kudos Nepal's son!!!  Keep flowing.

knock in my door, yes its the night
the day is over again

it was so bright all this long but
darkness has won again

covering up the lonliness blanket
I vanish into myself again

i see memory-wagon in front of my eyes
carrying my own past again

restrained by the screech of silence
I fail to hear my own voice again

batteling in the borders of my eyes
my tears gain victory again

facing towards cracked mirror
I seekout for myself again

continuing sitting like this,
eternity keeps repeating again and again
