For the daily wage to be Rs 550:
Is that a bad thing? This indicator has been used casually by many as a dismal state of the economy. I have heard this complaint a lot from all of the nepali people I have spoken to in nepal or abroad.

Isn't it an indicator of labor work force being in demand--and that they are getting better (relative term) value? Can some deep economist bigya explain us?

In Terai, goat meat cost Rs. 550 per Kg. A rickshaw puller makes $15 Rs. Per 2 Kilometer pulling rickshaw in 120F heat (hotter than Texas with no A/C). Do the math how many km he has to go, just to buy 1 kg. meat??? It’s more than 75 kilometer !!!!!!!!!!
