I bought ticket from landlock travel on early May from US to Nepal and back to US. Also from Nepal to US back I added 2 more ticket in the same route and same plane. As I had to bring my daughter(3 yrs) and  my wife sister(Which is her 1st time to US after getting DV) to US. While going though there was some issue in ticket and we called this travel agent and they were never coperative rather airline sorted out much instead them. Latter when we returning from Kathmandu, we had itenary of us and 2 ticket exactly same, but when Ethad airline run through the system, their ticket and our ticket don't match at all, they were in different airline and we in different, and morever to our disbelief there was no ticket from NY to FL(Our final destination). How can we let 3 yrs child travel to other people when she too doesn't know at all. We called this travel agent and they told try getting upto abu dabi and they will fix it and email too. We didn't agree but there was just 15 mins for plane take off, so somehow we relectulently took plane upto abudabi. To our disbelief when we reach there, they didn't fix it at all. I mean how can they do this. Now here in different country how can we let this infant travel alone. We were literally in shell sock, somehow the ethad airline somehow saw our pathetic condition and they atleast manage the child to travel with us but my wife sister she has to travel alone. Now also in paris, I have to buy ticket from NY to tampa for both for my kid and wife sister. Now , when we call them they say its not our fault its nepal travel airline(land lock travel in nepal). This is just insane. I had my 1 cousine who traveled through landlock earlier and he also had same problem  1 yrs back. He called lot of time for refund with nothing in hand and he just left it out. I just want to ask sajha user first to avoid this travel agency as you might be also in trouble and other is can some one give advice if there is a way to sue. Please provide some information regarding it. Thanx..

I guess the most you can do is call up your bank or creditcard and explain the situation and how the tickets were wrong and you were tricked into buying them which makes it a fraudulent charge.

They have their own invistigators so they should sort it out in few weeks.

Submit a formal complaint to better business bureau and other authorities they're registerd to.

 I guess you can take your case to small claims court.

 Yes, I agree they suck. No body should buy ticket from them (Land Luck Travel).

Teach them a lesson. Do not buy ticket from them and also i will tell all my friends and family members same thing. Those travel agents need to realize they are not in Nepal. I have suffered similar situations in the past but it was different nepali travel agency and now it is closed.

They're bunch of lil stupid phuckers....
thay already have few cases againt them at the better business bureau....few more and they will be forced to shut down....

I also bought a roundtrip ticket to Nepal last summer from Land Lock Travel, USA. I had to extend my stay in Nepal for few days so I tried to change my flight schedule to later date. The Land Lock Travel office in Nepal changed my flight schedule but charged me heavily which almost cost me a full one-way ticket.And I had no option beside accepting the cost since I had to come back in short time.

I had to extend my dates too few years ago. I bought my ticket from some nepali travel agency and my airline was Gulf Air. But i went to the Gulf Air office nearby jai nepal. They charged me $200 which i guess was their standard charge.

These travel acengy are here to just rip you off because they know you have no other options and you will have to pay. So, what i would suggest to everyone is that once you buy your ticket from them then talk with your primary airline for everything else. 

And most importanly, today someone just started this thread which I believe we should all consider.

Best way to find a good deal is to plan ahead your trip & subscribe email to some airlines special offers. When they have air fare sale goin on, you get notified right a way. I have email subscription for qatar & emirates. I bought 2 tickets to nepal like 4 months ago for 999 incl tax & hotel stay overnight in doha. Its from Hou to doha to ktm....no hassels...999 incl tax n everything.... Beat dat f$ckin' agencies my a$$ !!

Nepali businesses and unprofessionalism. Well, that's a first. 

I did little bit research of "Landlocked Travel" and found out that the address they have in Houston is an Apartment complex address with no trace of an office there, in other word it is an fake address and also, they have not registered either with state TX or NY as they claim of having offices in both states. They operate from Kathmandu but telling lies of having office here in the USA. There has been complain in past of this agency of charging more on the credit card than what they had quoted their before.
This agency must not be paying any taxes to Uncle Sam rather making money of honest hard working tax payer here in the USA.

Actually, federal government should take an action and stop these kind of companies website banning them for ever to do business here in the USA.
Also be aware, Landlocked is not only company who is taking advantage, there are few others ( I don't want to name them) who advertise in local websites and  they claim of having an office here in the USA but in fact they have no physical office here in the USA rather they are operating from Nepal with few staffs there.

The best way to be in safe side is to ask for their EIN number( Tax ID of company) and also, check with BBB of their existence.

My suggestion to the websites who advertise these companies and market them here in this USA is to check of their genuineness and then  help them to market. As long as federal government is not on your tail, things are fine, one can enjoy easy money but once the  US government start getting many complains then it is not only the company like Landlocked Travel but websites who help them to market will also be big trouble and could be fined and jailed. This is very serious matter, take it seriously.
