I just saw that two of the books that I am eagerly wiating to read have been launched by Penguin India. Does anyone in nepal or who has visited mandala or any other good bookstores in Nepal know if these two books- The End of Poverty and The World is Flat- are available in Nepal? I can order it from amazon but its godamn expensive.. so have to rely on my Nepal contacts. Thanks much in advance.

I think, the world is flat is really something to read about. I was fortunate to see an interview with T Friedman in C-span. He is really a great writer and orator. Good luck IF! Hopefully you will get these books in ktm. Nut

Speaking of The End of Poverty , $18 IS a lot of money if you think about it, but for me the monetized value of the utility derived from reading the book was way more than the amount I paid for it. Just throwing this opinion in just in case you do not find the book in Nepal. (I though the Forward by Bono was slightly out of place, though) Good luck finding the book in Nepal.

Eighteen dollars is a lot of money for a book. Seems like the prices for books has come down drastically since the last time I have visited bookstore, this sunday. :)

Houston, Some of us live on hourly wages or, even worse, are still in college. Thank you very much! Sorry for the little digression everyone.
